Sara Imam is an Associate in the firm’s Divorce and Family Law practice. She counsels clients during all stages of divorce and family law conflicts. Her experience includes working with clients as they navigate pre- and post-dissolution of marriage cases, representing clients in child custody related matters, including the drafting of allocation and parenting time agreements. Her background in this area also includes representing clients in guardianship proceedings.

Sara’s legal experience also includes representing individuals and entities in real estate transactions, construction litigation matters and other business matters, including civil litigation cases.

While in law school, Sara gained experience while serving as a law clerk at two different Chicago firms focused on a wide range of legal issues, including personal injury and corporate, transactional and intellectual property matters.

Sara is fluent in Arabic.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Prior to joining Aronberg Goldgehn in 2024, Sara practiced for two years at a boutique law firm in Chicago.

Outside work, Sara enjoys traveling to new places, hiking, and exploring different places in the city with her husband. As an avid cook, Sara is often trying new recipes at home.

What is one item on your bucket list? To visit all Seven Wonders of the Modern World. I have been to two: the Great Wall of China and Machu Picchu.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a lawyer? Kindergarten teacher.

What is your favorite place in Chicago? Lincoln Park.

What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on? The Island of Crete in Greece.
