Ralph Dado Presents on Academic Crises and Research Integrity at 2026 Legal Netlink Alliance Americas Spring General Meeting

05.04.26

Aronberg Goldgehn Member and White Collar Investigations, Risk and Integrity practice chair Ralph Dado was selected as one of three featured speakers at the 2026 Legal Netlink Alliance (LNA) Americas Spring General Meeting April 23–25, 2026 in Miami.

Dado’s presentation, “Academic Crises & Research Integrity,” addressed the growing challenges academic institutions face in an environment of heightened scrutiny. He explored high-profile research integrity matters, including the 2023 Stanford University investigation, where he led the independent investigation into allegations involving the university’s president on behalf of Stanford’s board. He also discussed recent efforts by major universities and colleges to proactively identify integrity risks, particularly when evaluating leadership candidates.

“It was a privilege to be a guest speaker at the LNA meeting, and this topic could not be more timely,” Dado said. “Academic institutions around the country are under intense scrutiny, and an integrity-related event — whether in the form of scientific fraud, plagiarism or leadership misconduct — presents serious risk to the institution. Our white collar practice is uniquely positioned to help colleges and universities both respond to an integrity event when it occurs and to proactively identify those risks so that a crisis never arises.”

“Ralph’s academic crisis and research integrity sub-practice highlights the unique strength of the firm’s white collar platform, which combines excellence in traditional white collar areas like investigations, government enforcement defense and crisis with unique offerings in academic and research integrity and safety and risk,” said firm Member and upcoming LNA president Tim Nelson. “It is a powerful combination which our clients, and fellow members of LNA, are already benefiting from.”

Founded in 1990, LNA connects nearly 1,600 lawyers across 143 cities and 94 firms to leverage their diverse legal talents and expertise across the globe. Aronberg Goldgehn is a founding member firm of LNA and served as the host firm for the 2025 Global Meeting.
