Lisa Peng advises U.S. and international clients on intellectual property and business matters, including IP prosecution, licensing, transactions, enforcement, and litigation. She has a particular focus on helping companies and entrepreneurs from China and other Asian markets navigate the U.S. intellectual property system, while helping U.S. companies develop, commercialize, and protect their IP in China and throughout Asia.
Prior to joining Aronberg Goldgehn, Lisa was most recently practicing administrative litigation and post-judgment enforcement at a reputable law firm in Chicago, handling municipal debt collection and cost recovery matters. During her clerkships with the Circuit Court of Cook County, she worked on civil and administrative matters involving personal injury, defamation, tax disputes, unemployment compensation, and arbitration awards.
Before practicing in the U.S., Lisa practiced law in China for three years, advising clients on international trade, cross-border investment, regulatory compliance, corporate matters, IP strategy, and related disputes resolution. Lisa’s experience also includes externships with the Supreme People’s Court of China, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, and the intellectual property litigation group of a leading international law firm in Beijing.
Lisa is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and has basic proficiency in Cantonese, French, and Spanish. Her experience across different legal and business environments enables her to bridge cultural differences and provide practical guidance on cross-border opportunities and disputes.
