John Sciaccotta Co-Presenting "Video Conferencing for Lawyers: A Practical Session & Discussion of Using Zoom in Mediations & Arbitrations"

03.31.20

On April 2, 2020, John C. Sciaccotta will co-present “Video Conferencing for Lawyers: A Practical Session & Discussion of Using Zoom in Mediations & Arbitrations," an ABA Business Law Section webinar.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the legal community has had to quickly adjust to remote work in order to continue to provide much needed legal services to their clients. Taking place at 2 p.m. Central Time, this FREE webinar is sure to be one of the most useful and practical webinars for attorneys with little or no experience with video conferencing through Zoom.

John’s co-presenters are Hon. Gail Andler (Ret.) of JAMS and Edwin Cruz, Assistant Manager of Facilities and Administrations at JAMS.

Ed Cruz has assisted parties and neutrals to commence nearly 100 virtual hearings since the COVID-19 shelter in place order. He will provide step-by-step instructions on how to schedule, commence and host a Zoom session. He will tell how to use break out rooms and how to install a virtual background so participants can’t see your private office or living room in a Zoom session. He will also cover features to know as a participant in a Zoom hearing.

Following that, John and his co-presenters will discuss best practices and things to consider from a Neutral and an Advocate’s point of view.

How to Participate

This program is free to Business Law Section Members, and will be conducted via a video call. Connect to this call via computer or smartphone at this link: https://americanbar.zoom.us/j/259425183
