Eric R. Slutsky is an Associate in the firm’s Business Law & Transactions, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Emerging Companies practice groups. He advises private equity firms, portfolio companies, and early- to growth-stage businesses on a wide range of corporate matters. Eric focuses on both transactional and general counsel work, guiding clients through all stages of the business lifecycle, from formation and financing to acquisitions and exits.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Eric has significant experience representing healthcare and healthcare-adjacent businesses, including optometry practices, physician groups, and surgery centers. He frequently acts as outside general counsel to these organizations, advising on corporate structuring, acquisitions, regulatory matters, and day-to-day operational issues.

Eric began his legal career in 2020 at CME Group, where he focused on venture capital transactions and regulatory matters at the forefront of the futures and derivatives markets. He went on to practice at well-respected law firms, where he developed a strong foundation in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and general corporate matters. Throughout his career, Eric has advised a wide range of clients, from private equity firms and startups to healthcare and professional service organizations, on strategic transactions and day-to-day legal needs. He joined Aronberg Goldgehn in 2025.

What do you love most about being an attorney? I enjoy helping clients navigate complex transactions and providing strategic solutions that drive their businesses forward.

What is your favorite restaurant in Chicago? Chicago has an incredible food scene, but if I had to pick one, I’d say Bavette’s.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my wife and son.
