Aronberg Goldgehn is pleased to announce that Kara Friedman and Anne Cooper have joined the firm as Members. Both attorneys join from Polsinelli, where they developed nationally recognized practices representing health care providers and organizations across the country.
Friedman counsels health care clients on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues, including physician self-referral restrictions, fraud and abuse, facility licensure and accreditation, compensation arrangements, and health planning matters. She regularly advises on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, and she maintains an active Certificate of Need practice representing clients before the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
Cooper focuses her practice on health care compliance, licensure, Medicare and Medicaid issues, and the Illinois Certificate of Need process. She has guided clients through the opening of new behavioral health hospitals and residential treatment facilities nationwide. She also has extensive experience with clinical trial agreements, research compliance and data protection matters.
Together, Friedman and Cooper bring decades of experience advising health systems, hospitals, medical groups and behavioral health organizations. Their deep knowledge of federal and state regulatory environments strengthens Aronberg Goldgehn’s ability to serve clients in the health care industry.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Kara and Anne to the firm,” said Elizabeth Lazzara, co-chair of Aronberg Goldgehn’s Executive Management Committee. “Their breadth of knowledge in health care law and their commitment to helping providers navigate complex regulatory landscapes will be invaluable to our clients and to the continued growth of our health care practice.”
