Aronberg Goldgehn Obtains Asylum for Client
09.10.13
On September 10, following an administrative hearing, our client was granted asylum in the United States due to religious persecution experienced in their home country of Eritrea (Africa).
Our client is a practicing Pentecostal Christian. The Eritrean government has banned the Pentecostal religion and arbitrarily arrests, imprisons and brutally abuses its adherents. After suffering four months of imprisonment in harsh conditions, during which our client was repeatedly interrogated and beaten by Eritrean government officers, our client fled Eritrea in August 2006, fearing for his life. Now that he has been granted asylum, our client is able to live and work in the United States, and to eventually become a U.S. citizen.
