Amy Gibson Named in Crain's List of The Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago
Aronberg Goldgehn Member Amy M. Gibson has been listed in Crain’s Custom Media’s inaugural edition of The Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago, published on July 31, 2017.
In its introduction to the list, Crain’s wrote that the 60 women featured on the list “represent an impressive cross-section of the Chicago-area legal community. Many of them have practiced with distinction for decades, while others are on-the-rise attorneys making their mark.”
The introduction continued to say, “All make it a point to mentor other women lawyers and to give back to their community in myriad ways.”

Amy Gibson started at Aronberg Goldgehn in 2006 as a summer intern. She now co-chairs the firm’s commercial litigation practice group. Her rapid rise is a testament to her legal acumen and to the confidence she has earned from colleagues and clients. Gibson has been instrumental in growing the firm’s labor and employment practice. She focuses on complex commercial litigation, including claims involving shareholder disputes, fraud, consumer fraud, breach of contract and real estate. She also defends employers in litigation and administrative proceedings involving claims by employees for discrimination, retaliation, violation of state and federal wage and hour laws, and worker misclassification. She recently completed a guide to new city and county paid sick leave rules: “Is Your Business Prepared to Comply with the Cook County and City of Chicago Paid Sick Leave Ordinances That Become Effective July 1, 2017?” For the last three years, Amy has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in Commercial Litigation by Illinois Leading Lawyers, and for 2010 through 2017 as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Illinois Super Lawyers.
