David Johnson Joins Aronberg Goldgehn's Business Law & Transactions Group

David A. Johnson Jr. has joined Aronberg Goldgehn Davis & Garmisa as an associate in the firm’s business law and transactions practice group. He is a general business attorney who represents growing companies and medical practices throughout Illinois and Wisconsin in all stages of operation, including in unique and complex transactions. He advises clients from formation to financing, to growth acquisitions and, in some instances, to the final sale of the company.

David also provides counsel on employment matters and represents clients in the negotiation of employment agreements, employment handbooks, compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment termination.

From solo medical practitioners and small medical practice groups to technology companies and industrial manufacturers, David is often serving as clients’ outside general counsel, advising them in a manner that mitigates risk and supports growth. He also provides guidance when troubled situations arise. He is experienced in representing both individual owners and companies in disputes that arise between owners, and can help find a solution to troubled situations while protecting the enterprise and its value.

Prior to joining Aronberg Goldgehn, David was an associate with Piccione, Keeley & Associates, LTD., where he represented individuals and companies in general corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, estate planning and commercial litigation.

Active in the community, David is a current member of the White Sox Charities Young Professionals Council. In addition, he has served the Village of East Hazel Crest as a Village Trustee, and as a Trustee and Treasurer for the East Hazel Crest Library District. From 2003-2005, he was President of the East Hazel Crest Fire Department Association and was a volunteer firefighter with the East Hazel Crest Volunteer Fire Department from 2003- 2006.

David earned his J.D. in 2009 from Case Western Reserve University and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2005.
