Alan S. Wernick Discusses Recent FCC Enforcement Actions against Robocallers

Aronberg Goldgehn’s Alan S. Wernick discussed recent enforcement actions taken by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against two businesses accused of facilitating robocallers in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today, Month-In-Brief: Internet Law & Cyber-Security.

The FCC issued cease and desist letters to the two businesses, CallWin and Solid Double, in response to complaints received via the Private Entity Robocall and Spoofing Portal. The FCC launched the portal in late 2022 to receive reports of suspicious robocall and phone number spoofing activity. The letter issued to Solid Double was the first enforcement action taken in response to a complaint lodged through the Portal.
