Alan S. Wernick Assumes Role as OSBA Corporate Counsel Section Council Chair

Aronberg Goldgehn’s Alan S. Wernick has been selected as the incoming Chair of the Corporate Counsel Section for the Ohio State Bar Association. His one-year term began July 1, 2023.
Throughout the years, Alan has worked closely with the OSBA as the Founder of the Computer Law Committee, participating on other OSBA Sections and Committees, and has contributed professional insights in many Continuing Legal Education presentations for the OSBA, and articles for OSBA publications.
"As a member of the OSBA for more than 45 years, I am eager to begin my role as Corporate Counsel Section Chair and look forward to helping advance the mission of the OSBA Corporate Counsel Section,” said Alan.
Founded in 1880, the Ohio State Bar Association promotes justice and advancement in the legal profession. With nearly 1800 members, the Corporate Counsel Section focuses on supporting the activities and functions of corporate counsel; studying and reporting upon various problems relating to the activities of corporate counsel; furthering the legal education of members of the bar and the public on the subject of law as it affects the corporate practice by sponsoring meetings, institutes and conferences; and preparing and publishing legal writings in this field.
Alan, a member of the bar in IL, NY, OH and DC, is a business transactions attorney and advocate, with a background in accounting and technology, who focuses on matters of information technology law, privacy/cybersecurity law and intellectual property law. His in-depth experience as a seasoned legal counselor and advocate, arbitrator and mediator and as a bridge builder among business, technology and intellectual property communities is well respected by individuals across professional industries.
