John C. Sciaccotta to Share BD and Trial Insights at Upcoming Chicago Bar Association Events

Aronberg Goldgehn’s John C. Sciaccotta will share insights in separate upcoming events with the Chicago Bar Association.

Chicago Bar Association’s Leadership Institute

On Wednesday, May 24, John will join a business development panel for the fourth and final session of the CBA’s Leadership Institute titled Advanced Business Development Strategies.

This session will consist of two parts, “The Secrets to Becoming a Rainmaker” and “Crafting Your Business Development Roadmap,” which will cover topics including but not limited to:

• The fundamentals of:
  • Building relationships and networking
  • Selling oneself
  • Developing a book of business
• Key BD trends
• How to organize and execute BD best practices

The Leadership Institute was developed to increase leadership skills among lawyers as the CBA believes leaders are an integral part of law firms, improving the workplace, attracting clients and guaranteeing good work product.

Chicago Bar Association’s Trial Academy

John will also serve as a coach in the CBA’s Trial Academy, a two-day skills training course for attorneys of all levels, on June 1-2. He and other coaches will discuss and conduct demonstrations of different trial components: Opening Statement, Direct Examination, Cross Examination, Closing Argument, and Trial Preparation. The academy coaches will provide participants with feedback, suggestions and strategies to improve.
