John Sciaccotta Co-Presenting "Religious Sincerity in Corporations & Businesses"

06.15.20

On June 16, 2020, John C. Sciaccotta will co-present “Religious Sincerity in Corporations & Businesses,” at a Catholic Lawyers Guild’s virtual CLE program. His co-presenter is Hon. Thomas Donnelly, Associate Judge in Circuit Court of Cook County.

From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., John and Judge Donnelly will discuss the legal consequences for an entity when shareholders hold heterogeneous or diverse religious beliefs. While the Supreme Court and scholars have noted the particular issues raised when determining the religious sincerity of shareholders’ claims, to date no court has engaged systematically with the question of whose religious sincerity should be attributed to the corporation.

This hour-long program is open to all lawyers and judges.
