John C. Sciaccotta Moderating "Will Police Reform Make Chicago Safer?" a Chicago Bar Association CLE Program

On Jan. 29, 2020, Aronberg Goldgehn member John C. Sciaccotta will moderate “Will Police Reform Make Chicago Safer?” a panel discussion at the Chicago Bar Association’s “Curbing Gun Violence: Are We Making Progress? Issues Impacting Gun Violence in Chicago’s Neighborhoods” program.
John will moderate the discussion with fellow panelists Sean Malinowksi, Director of Policing Innovation and Reform at the University of Chicago Crime Lab, and Rachel Murphy, Staff Attorney at ACLU of Illinois.
The program will be held at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 South Plymouth Court, from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Interim Chicago Police Superintendent Charlie Beck will kick-off the program with a keynote address to participants about the issues and problems Chicago faces. Panelists will then address the facts and solutions to common questions relating to solving the issues in problematic neighborhoods.

Burns, Criminal Division, Circuit Court of Cook County; Max Kapustin, Senior Research Director, University of Chicago Crime Lab; Rae Kyritsi, Programs Director, Center for Conflict Resolution; Hon. Thomas R. Mulroy, Law Division, Circuit Court of Cook County (moderator); and Hon. Patricia Spratt, Restorative Justice Division, Circuit Court of Cook County.
