Obtained a significant declaratory judgment in favor of the firm's client, a professional liability insurer. The insurer's policyholder, a title agent, claimed that the insurer should defend it and provide coverage for two class action lawsuits in which the title agent's customers sought return of unpaid recording and courier delivery fees. The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled in the insurer's favor, agreeing that our client was not required to defend the lawsuits or provide coverage for any damages.
