Aronberg Goldgehn Member Dan Cotter was recently quoted in a Financial Poise article titled, “How to Handle an Internal Investigation with Integrity and Foresight.” The article draws from Cotter’s participation in the Financial Poise webinar “Internal Investigations 101,” where he discussed practical guidance for navigating investigations in today’s complex regulatory environment.

As part of the Corporate and Regulatory Compliance Bootcamp series, the program explored what often triggers internal investigations, how to structure and execute them effectively and key considerations surrounding attorney-client privilege.

The article reviews what often initiates an internal investigation, legal guardrails and best practices for conducting the investigation.
