Karen Mills Reflects on Past Bar Association Presidency in "DCBA Brief"
08.18.25
Aronberg Goldgehn Member and immediate past president of the DuPage County Bar Association Karen Mills was featured in the July/August edition of “DCBA Brief,” the association’s monthly journal.
In the feature, Mills reflects on her year as DCBA president, sharing insights on the importance of collaboration, adaptability and fostering a strong community within the legal profession. Central to her presidency was a focus on attorney mental health and well-being — an area she championed through the formation of a mental health task force and continuing legal education (CLE) presentations.
She also discusses the highlights of her term, including celebrating the excellence of women in law, as demonstrated during the DCBA’s well-received Women’s History Month event featuring a panel of trailblazing women in the industry, and commemorating the 50th anniversary of Judges’ Nite.
“Serving as DCBA president was an honor and an opportunity to give back to a community that has shaped my career in so many ways,” Mills said. “I am grateful for the dedicated colleagues and friends who made this past year such a meaningful experience.”
