John C. Sciaccotta and Jerry Holisky to Share Mediation and Negotiation Skills in M&A Cases

Aronberg Goldgehn’s John C. Sciaccotta and Jerry Holisky will join the Chicago Bar Association’s in-person seminar, “Negotiation and Mediation Skills in M&A Cases” on Thursday, 8/24 and Friday, 8/25 at the Chicago Bar Association office.

On Thursday, John will join a mock mediation to demonstrate cutting edge theory on negotiation and mediation strategies and will discuss and explain the tactics, helping attendees to refine their skills.

Later in the day, Jerry will hold a session in which he will discuss dispute resolution including:

• Essential qualities and qualifications of the successful mediator
• Prehearing submission requirements
• Opening statements

On Friday, John will co-lead a discussion regarding mediation preparation to share the importance of:

• The mediator’s organization and review of documents
• The process a mediator should consider in M&A cases
• Use of documents and testimony in the mediation

He will also coach participants through a mock negotiation as well as a mock mediation of an M&A case.
