Thomas K. Hanekamp Elected a Fellow in the Prestigious American College of Coverage Counsel

Aronberg Goldgehn Member Thomas K. Hanekamp has been elected a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Coverage Counsel, which is comprised of more than 300 preeminent coverage and extracontractual counsel in the United States and Canada, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders. Tom was elected a Fellow to the College by vote of its Board of Regents.
Established in 2012, The American College of Coverage Counsel is focused on scholarship and congeniality in the profession. Specifically, its mission is the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, professional coordination and the improvement of the relationship between and among its diverse members. Through its Board of Directors and its working committees, the College engages in a wide variety of activities designed to promote those goals, in addition to improving the civility and the quality of the practice of insurance law.
Tom is Co-Chair of the Insurance Coverage Group at Aronberg Goldgehn. He focuses his practice on major commercial litigation on a nationwide basis on behalf of insurers in coverage matters involving general liability, management liability and professional liability.
He regularly counsels clients with respect to insurance coverage issues associated with D&O, E&O, EPL, ERISA and general liability claims, including those involving allegations of bad faith.
In addition, Tom’s more than 20 years general liability experience includes handling matters alleging bad faith, environmental, asbestos, and other long tail exposures. He also has experience defending toxic tort, products liability, premises liability, and other such litigation involving bodily injury and property damage.
