REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Successfully tried to verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois a case involving the false advertising of a widely used automotive product.
- Successfully tried to verdict in the Circuit Court of Cook County a breach of contract case centered around a complex network of bank and personal loans secured by real estate held in a land trust.
- Obtained summary dismissal in action filed in the Circuit Court of Winnebago County, Illinois, which involved a sophisticated fraud scheme carried out by an independent insurance broker who overbilled an insured for premiums, but paid the carrier the correct amount of the premiums due in order to camouflage the overbilling.
- Successfully tried to verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York a case in which it was alleged that our client induced an individual to breach his restrictive covenants and misappropriate proprietary information.
- Successfully resolved a complex multi-party suit on behalf of the company that supplied the exterior stone cladding of an iconic Chicago skyscraper that began to detach from its anchoring system.
- Successfully tried to verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois a case involving the amputation of a boater’s leg that was crushed between his boat and dock due to excessive wake caused by a passing tow boat.
