Aronberg Goldgehn is proud to welcome William “Bill” Price to the firm as of counsel. Bill’s practice encompasses managing client’s securities law and other capital formation projects, purchasing and selling businesses, and handling day-to-day legal and regulatory problems, as well as business and administrative litigation, international and national contracts and deals, and nonprofit entity law.
Bill was appointed by Governor Thompson and confirmed by Illinois Senate as the state Business Utility Advocate. He is highly recognized in the legal field, receiving the ISBA Section of General Practice's "Tradition of Excellence" award in 2012. As Chairman of the Institute for Illinois Business Laws from 2014 to 2016, he led the drafting of both versions of the state's Limited Liability Companies Act.
Bill serves as the general editor for the current edition of the ISBA Handbook of Illinois Administrative Law and edits the Section newsletter. Additionally, he is a member of the ISBA Business Advice and Financial Planning Section Council.
He has authored "Limited Liability Organizations" (Specialty Technical Publications, Vancouver, BC), a comprehensive guide covering business entities in all 50 states and many foreign countries. He has also written "Illinois Law Office Practice Forms" (Michie Co., 1995), a set of forms for business, real estate, and family estate matters in Illinois. Additionally, he has contributed chapters to publications by the Illinois Institute on Continuing Legal Education and served as a general editor for their book on Limited Liability Companies and S Corporations.
