On Oct. 29, 2019, Aronberg Goldgehn Member John C. Sciaccotta will moderate “Part Two: The Process of Arbitration: Making an Effective Presentation of the Case” at the Chicago Bar Association’s 2019 Arbitration Institute, presented with ADR Systems.
John will share moderator duties with Greta G. Weathersby, an attorney with WEC Business Services, LLC. Their panelists are: Hon. F. Keith Brown (Ret.), Hon. Lisa M. Curcio (Ret.) and Hon. Stuart A. Nudelman (Ret.), all Neutrals from ADR Systems.
In Part Two, which John will moderate, the panel of neutrals will discuss the specific process of arbitration and mediation’s interface with arbitration, and they will provide a walk-through of the arbitration process from notice to award.
Their panel follows “Part One: Contract Drafting and Arbitration,” which will provide contract drafting tips for parties interested in presenting disputes before an arbitrator or arbitration panel. The panelists will review and discuss how to draft an arbitration clause to effectively control the arbitration process, and practitioners will have the opportunity to engage with them and work with sample contracts, provisions and other materials in an interactive, hands-on session
The Chicago Bar Association’s 2019 Arbitration Institute will take place from 3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. It will be held at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago, as well as via a webcast.
