Judith S. Sherwin Discusses Constitutional Rights and Employment at Loyola University's School of Law's Education Immersion Weekend

In a presentation to students and faculty, Judith S. Sherwin shared constitutional right insights during Loyola University’s School of Law’s Education Immersion Weekend on May 23.

Judy’s presentation titled “Working for a Living and Your Constitutional Rights: You Don’t Have as Many as You Think” covered topics including:

• Recent Supreme Court decisions including cases pending before the Court
• The interplay of Title VII in employee claims
• The NLRB and claims which can be made by union employees under those rules
• State constitutional and statutory protection

Loyola University’s School of Law hosts Education Immersion Weekends throughout the year. The event fosters communication and networking among students, alumni and faculty while offering students the opportunity to reinforce key learning objectives.

Judy is an adjunct professor in Loyola University’s School of Law’s graduate studies program and a health care attorney with a wide range of experience representing hospitals, long-term care providers, nursing homes and other health care providers with respect to litigation, regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. She teaches graduate courses in physician regulation, business and legal ethics and thesis preparation and has taught First Amendment issues in the law school.
