John C. Sciaccotta Highlighted in Lawyer Spotlight Series

John C. Sciaccotta was recently featured in 2Civility’s Lawyer Spotlight series, which highlights lawyers in Illinois who integrate ideals of professionalism in their everyday lives.

Emphasizing his involvement in legal organizations, John touted his extensive participation in the Chicago Bar Association as enriching his life and legal career. Recently elected as the CBA’s Second Vice President, John has formed friendships and grown relationships with colleagues through various workshops and committees.

While being a lawyer comes with a high-stress lifestyle, John noted how his experience in mediation and arbitration has given him the necessary skills to stay calm in the face of pressure. He also uses exercise and golf as ways to clear his head and maintain his well-being.

As the founding member of Aronberg Goldgehn’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, John aims to amplify and embrace diverse perspectives and ideas. He values the recruitment of historically underrepresented individuals in law to grow inclusivity and create real change in the industry. Mentoring and training young lawyers is also important to John, especially with the prominence of remote work which can make it difficult to maintain mentor-mentee relationships.
