06.15.22

Aronberg Goldgehn’s Amy M. Gibson recently earned the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Professional Training certification from the National Employment Law Institute after meeting the intensive ADA/Rehabilitation Act required compliance training.

This certification showcases her commitment to providing up-to-date policies and standards for future client trainings.

She recently led an ADA training to assist a national charitable organization in integrating inclusive measures and ensuring they are following laws to accommodate those with disabilities in the workplace.

The ADA protects individuals from employment discrimination based on their physical or mental disabilities. Employers may be required to provide reasonable accommodations including, without limitation:

  • Providing interpreters
  • Acquiring or modifying equipment or devices
  • Making the workplace physically accessible

ADA trainings offer additional support to employers when navigating the various challenges with compliance and accommodation, while advocating for an inclusive workplace.

Amy serves as co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and co-chair of the firm’s DEI Committee. She focuses her legal practice on employment litigation and counseling and complex civil litigation, including claims involving shareholder disputes, fraud, consumer fraud, breach of contract and real estate.
