David A. Johnson Jr. Appointed as Secretary of ISBA Business Advice & Financial Planning Section Council for 2022-2023

Aronberg Goldgehn’s David A. Johnson Jr. will serve the Illinois State Bar Association’s Business Advice & Financial Planning Section Council as Secretary for the 2022-2023 bar year.

In this role, David will be expected to serve the over 27,000 members while additionally:

• Contributing articles in the ISBA’s The Counselor newsletter
• Actively participating in subcommittees
• Planning and producing future CLE-credited programs

The Business Advice & Financial Planning Section aims to assist in the development of skills and access to resources for attorneys and their business clients through open forums, peer sharing of financial advice and continued evaluation of business legislation. The section features live educational and CLE-credited webinars to encourage attorneys to further their legal education.

David has been a member of the Business Advice & Financial Planning Section Council since 2015. As a corporate attorney with substantial experience in business formation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate finance and commercial transactions, David often functions as his clients’ outside general counsel, serving as a trusted advisor on their legal, business and strategic matters and advising them in a manner that mitigates risk and supports growth.
