John C. Sciaccotta to Explore the Ethics of Transitions in CBA's First Annual One-and-Done Professional Responsibility Overview

As part of the Chicago Bar Association’s (CBA) premiere six-hour virtual seminar, John C. Sciaccotta will draw from his considerable career to discuss the ethical issues that arise from various legal career transitions and professional development as part of the “One and Done: Professional Responsibility Overview” on Wednesday, June 8 from 1:15 to 2:15 pm.

John will be joined by Sari Montgomery, partner at Robinson Stewart Montgomery & Doppke LLC and William B. Oberts, director at Tribler Orpett & Meyer P.C to facilitate, “The Ethics of Lawyer Transitions.” This panel will review typical lawyer career transitions and resulting ethical issues, such as:

  • Moving between firms
  • Moving from public sector to private practice
  • Merging two firms
  • Retirement

The seminar allows legal professionals to earn up to six hours of CLE credit, including the Diversity/Inclusion and Mental/Health Substance Abuse credits. This all-day seminar from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm encourages participants to continue their legal education by participating in panels discussing present-day industry topics.
