Aronberg Goldgehn Sponsors Center for Jewish Law & Judaic Studies' Virtual Symposium Concerning Antisemitism

Aronberg Goldgehn proudly sponsored the DePaul University College of Law Center for Jewish Law & Judaic Studies’ (JLJS) virtual symposium on Tuesday, April 26 in an effort to increase awareness of antisemitism and to support the Jewish community.

The event, “Defining Antisemitism and Why It Matters: An In-Depth Exploration,” featured speakers with significant experience in Jewish studies, including attorneys, JLJS faculty, Rabbis and directors of Jewish organizations. The symposium included:

  • An in-depth exercise designed to explore debates concerning the definition of antisemitism, criticisms of the proposed definitions and the practical impact of having a definition
  • Breakout sessions for attendees to participate in conversations moderated by JLJS members
  • Closing keynote address by Bret L. Stephens of The New York Times entitled, “The Importance of Defining Antisemitism”
