The Chicago Bar Association’s Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee will hold its monthly free CLE credited webinar as the first session of its new “Advocacy Skills Specific to Bench Trials in Commercial Cases” webinar series on Tuesday, March 8 at 12:15 pm CT.

The webinar, “Opening Statements,” will feature retired Judge Thomas R. Mulroy’s insights into developing effective opening statements including:

  • Ethical considerations
  • Preparation of the opening statement
  • Effective advocacy tips
  • Best practices

It will also include a demonstration of an opening from a trial problem hypothesis.
