Aronberg Goldgehn is proud to announce attorney Staci Balbirer was recently highlighted in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Generation Esq. feature.

In the article, “Family Law Attorney Tackles New Challenges” John McNally details Staci’s 2020 Hague Convention child abduction case that originated in Ecuador – a case she worked on for the better half of 2020. “It’s a totally different world than many divorce practitioners ever get to experience,” she said.

In this case, she enforced the rights of the father who alleged his children were smuggled by their mother into the United States. Staci litigated this matter in federal and state courts all while navigating laws in both the U.S. and Ecuador during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Also discussed were Staci’s day-to-day cases in her special needs-focused family law practice. After representing her first client with a special needs child and recognizing the complexities therein, Staci realized there was an overwhelming need to represent families with special needs children and disabled adults. Since 2012, she has made this a significant part of her practice.

Staci concentrates her practice in the area of divorce and family law that encompasses issues related to complex financial matters, the allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, property division, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, orders of protection and international custody disputes.
