Sofia Quezada Hastings focuses her practice on business litigation and intellectual property law matters. She counsels clients with respect to the protection and enforcement of their trademarks and copyrights. She has a particular concentration in trademark prosecution, and also is involved in trademark and copyright litigation matters. Her background in this area involves bringing anti-counterfeiting actions against mass-scale trademark and copyright infringers who import counterfeit goods into the U.S.

Sofia also has experience with trademark and copyright litigation, domain name disputes, UDRP complaints, and responses to PTO office actions.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Sofia joined Aronberg Goldgehn as an Associate attorney in 2022. Prior to that, she worked for an intellectual property litigation boutique focusing on anti-counterfeiting and trademark and copyright infringement matters.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

While in law school, Sofia volunteered for the Illinois Innocence Project, an advocacy organization dedicated to freeing innocent men and women imprisoned in Illinois for crimes they did not commit.

In her free time, Sofia enjoys traveling, staying active with yoga and hiking, and exploring the city with her husband and her dog, Winnie. At home, she is constantly looking for new recipes to cook.

What is one item on your bucket list? To go to a World Cup final.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a lawyer? I would probably be a designer, either in fashion or in interior design.
What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on? I spent three weeks in Spain traveling across the country.
