Aronberg Goldgehn’s banking and finance attorneys represent numerous banks and other financial institution in a variety of lending and loan workout and restructuring activities. We also assist our business clients with their financing requirements.
Lending
Our attorneys provide to our financial institution clients a full spectrum of legal services relating to secured and unsecured commercial business loans and real estate loans. In addition, our attorneys have served as board members of several banks and have an in-depth knowledge of the operational aspects of banking and financial services and of bank regulatory matters.
We also provide advice and counsel to our business clients on raising funds to meet longer-term needs and working capital needs through bank financing, mezzanine financing, and through private offerings of securities. Through our extensive contacts with a wide variety of funding sources we are able to offer creative solutions to meet the capital needs of our clients and to introduce our business clients to providers of debt and equity financing.
Workouts/Creditor’s Rights
Financial institutions rely on Aronberg Goldgehn for representation in foreclosure, bankruptcy and other debt collection and creditor’s rights proceedings. We also represent lenders in consensual workouts, including the negotiation and preparation of documentation necessary to restructure troubled real estate and commercial loans and to consummate deed in lieu of foreclosure transactions. Aronberg Goldgehn’s attorneys also provide representation in connection with lender liability matters and other claims brought by borrowers against financial institutions.

Regulatory Compliance
Our attorneys provide advice to our financial institution clients concerning regulatory requirements imposed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. We also provide assistance in the preparation of reports and responses to inquiries from regulatory authorities. We have served as counsel to bank boards of directors and senior bank officials in the performance of their duties and have represented them before Federal and State regulatory agencies that oversee the operation of banks and the conduct of bank personnel.
