Aronberg Goldgehn is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the Inspire Greatness Gala for Special Olympics Illinois. The Gala takes place Saturday, May 11, at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 N. Columbus Drive.

The Chair of this year’s Inspire Greatness Gala is Michael L. Scudder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of First Midwest Bancorp, Inc. and the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of First Midwest Bank. Mr. Scudder also serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the First Midwest Board and Chairman of the First Midwest Charitable Foundation.

Each year, the Inspire Greatness Gala features a Special Olympics Illinois athlete. This year’s Gala video will feature Patrick McCarthy, 28. Patrick has participated in the program since he was eight years old. He began his Special Olympics career competing in track & field and then moved on to try many other sports, including soccer, speed skating, golf, equestrian, softball, basketball, bowling, volleyball, tennis, powerlifting and swimming. In 2013, Patrick was selected to join Special Olympics USA as a participant in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Pyeongchang, Korea.

The Gala will begin with a cocktail hour and auction at 6 p.m., with dinner to follow at 7 p.m.
