John Sciaccotta a Panelist at CBA Seminar Titled "Reducing Unconscious Bias in the Courts and Legal Profession"
On May 16, 2019, Aronberg Goldgehn Member John C. Sciaccotta will be a panelist at a Chicago Bar Association seminar titled “Reducing Unconscious Bias in the Courts and the Legal Profession.”
Offered as a part of CBA Membership Appreciation Week, the seminar will be held from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the CBA building, 321 S. Plymouth Court in Chicago. A networking reception sponsored by Aronberg Goldgehn will immediately follow the presentation.
Unconscious bias has become a topic of increasing interest and importance to lawyers and judges.The speakers will address unconscious bias from the perspective of the lawyer, including its causes, effects, and management. Themes discussed in the recently published book “Enhancing Justice Reducing Bias,” published by the American Bar Association and edited by Professor Sara Redfield, will be highlighted. While the book’s audience is the judiciary, its content can be applied with equal usefulness to lawyers.

Among his many leadership roles, John is on the Chicago Bar Association's Board of Managers and is Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee.
