Cynde Munzer Named Co-Chair of the Anti-Defamation League’s 2018 Women of Achievement Awards Dinner
Aronberg Goldgehn member Cynde Munzer has been named a Co-Chair of the Anti-Defamation League’s 2018 Women of Achievement Awards dinner. Her Co-Chair will be Maria Doughty, Corporate Counsel, State Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, at Allstate Insurance Co.
The Anti-Defamation League Women of Achievement Awards Dinner, now in its 25th year, is an annual dinner created to honor women who are outstanding in their field of specialty. These women embody the spirit and philosophy of ADL through their efforts to improve communication and understanding among the diverse racial, religious and ethnic communities of Chicago. The ADL is dedicated to defending democratic ideals, safeguarding civil rights, and combating anti-Semitism, prejudice, discrimination and bigotry of all kinds.
The 2017 esteemed honorees included: Christine Castellano, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at Ingredion; Mary Jo Herseth, Senior Vice President, National Head of Banking at BMO Private Bank; Janet Lee, former General Counsel at HERE; and Christina Martini, Chair of the Chicago Intellectual Property Practice at DLA Piper LLP (US).
Cynde is a 2003 recipient of the Women of Achievement Award and has served as a member of the Women of Achievement Award Planning Committee in Chicago for several years.
About Cynde H. Munzer
Cynde Munzer is a business transactions attorney who works with publicly owned corporations and privately held businesses, assisting them with negotiating and documenting varied commercial transactions. She supports and collaborates with in-house legal teams of Fortune 500 and other large corporations by handling corporate matters and serving as their “outside” team member. She also serves as an “outside general counsel” for mid-sized and smaller businesses.
In addition, she has represented some of Chicago’s leading financial institutions in the negotiation and preparation of documentation for complex asset-based financing transactions.
Cynde is Co-Chair of Aronberg Goldgehn’s Women’s Initiative. She is actively involved in business and philanthropic communities and has been a strong advocate for the advancement of women’s business opportunities.
Cynde served as the Chairman of the Board and Past President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Technion Society, which supports Technion University. She is the first woman to serve in these roles. She was a member of the Executive Leadership team of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women Leadership” initiative and also served as a co-host of the Business and Banks Leadership Dinner session of the Women’s POWER Networking event, which is the most diverse networking event for women in Chicago.
She is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners (Chicago Chapter).
She previously served as an Illinois Delegate for Vision 2020, a national bi-partisan initiative developed to make equality a national priority through shared leadership among women and men. The initiative was launched in 2010 by the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University.
