Jerry Holisky Elected Co-Managing Member of Aronberg Goldgehn

07.27.15

Chicago business lawyer Jerry Holisky has been elected Co-Managing Member of Aronberg Goldgehn Davis & Garmisa, a full service business law and litigation firm. Holisky will share the responsibility for the strategic and operational governance of the firm with fellow member Christopher J. Bannon.

“I am very happy that Jerry is joining me as a Co-Managing Member,” said Bannon. “Jerry’s love of the firm, professionalism, exceptional legal skills and great business acumen – the same qualities that make him a trusted adviser to his clients - also make him a perfect fit for this position.”

Holisky joined Aronberg Goldgehn in 2010 from Holland & Knight. He concentrates his practice on the legal concerns of closely held companies and their owners. He functions as outside general counsel for many businesses, serving as their principal legal adviser and initial point of contact at Aronberg Goldgehn. Holisky previously served as Chair of the firm’s Business Law & Transactions Group.

“I am excited about working with Chris and expanding our position as Chicago’s leading mid-sized provider of sophisticated legal services to the middle market,” said Holisky.  “We don’t want to be the largest firm in Chicago; but we are proving every day – to our business clients large and small, to our bank and insurance company clients, and to our individual clients with tax, estate planning litigation and family law needs – that they can get sophisticated top shelf legal services without hiring Big Law.

“Equally important, Chris and I are committed to maintaining a firm culture that we at Aronberg Goldgehn regard as unique.”

Holisky, who lives in North Suburban Waukegan, has extensive experience in business formations, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance, and a wide range of commercial agreements.  His practice includes a concentration in ownership and management disputes – sometimes called “corporate divorce.” In a wide range of contested transactions over 20 years, Holisky has represented majority owners and management, as well as employees and individuals holding a minority interest in various business enterprises.
